The FIFA World CupTM is the biggest sporting event in the World. Many would argue that it is the biggest and most popular event of any kind in the world. The FA has decided to campaign to host the FIFA World Cup 2018 in England. It has set up a subsidiary company of The FA called England 2018 Limited, which will be the vehicle through which The FA will submit its bid to FIFA. We now want to assemble a team that will help to achieve the dream of bringing the FIFA World Cup 2018 to England.
The Bid Team will have a specific targeted strategy designed to make the best possible case to FIFA that the FIFA World Cup 2018 should be in England. We will not campaign on what a World Cup could do for England, but rather on what a World Cup in England can do for football in the World and for FIFA’s objective to use football to create a better world. We believe that the Host Nation of a FIFA World Cup has a moral obligation to leave a lasting and meaningful World legacy. We intend to leave a profound and lasting legacy in developing football both domestically and internationally in the countries of the developing world, from grassroots to elite level.
We will run a Bid which will at all times have integrity and be conducted in a spirit of openness and pride. We believe that we have a good case to make. We are looking for dynamic, motivated and talented people who will be part of a team dedicated to achieving the dream of bringing the FIFA World CupTM to England in 2018.
